DeepStack: Alert cancelled [DeepStack: not responding] 107ms

Hello all.
I just installed the latest Windows CPU version of DeepStack today on my bare metal Dell server running BlueIris. I set both BlueIris and DeepStacks server to use port 90 (after multiple attempts at the default port of 82).

The DeepStacks server starts and appears to be working, but no alerts are generated. The logs in Blue Iris repeatedly say that DeepStacks is not responding and then restarted.

Here is a snipped of the BI logs:

Here is a snippet of the DeepStacks server UI:

Does anyone know what would cause DeepStacks lack of response?
Windows Firewall is temporarily off with no change. I have also tried port 5000 after watching a few YouTube videos on the subject.

Thanks in advance!

@Texan Blue Iris and DeepStack should not be on the same Port, try the below ports
Blue Iris port 81
DeepStack port 82
@MikeLud

Thanks, @MikeLud for the fast response!

I gave this a try, and still no luck. Blue Iris still reports that it is not responding. I feel like it is something simple that I am overlooking.

Try rebooting the Blue Iris server and see if that fixes it.

Also let Blue Iris handel starting the DeepStack server, so you do not need the below app

Mike,

Thanks so much for your patience and assistance.

I closed the UI for DeepStack and ensured that BlueIris was set to manage the starting and stopping of this on its own. I then restarted the server.

While BlueIris shows in its UI that DeepStack is running, there is no DeepStack service or process running in Windows. I also continue to get the same error message that DeepStack is not responding in the BlueIris logs. If press the “test in browser” link in BlueIris, I get a 404 page in my browser.

If I run the DeepStack UI on the same port settings in BlueIris and Deepstack, I get a browser page response congratulating me for setting up DeepStack and asking for an API key, which as I understand it is no longer needed.

Windows Firewall is off, so I don’t believe this is a firewall issue.

I would like BlueIris to manage the starting and stopping of the DeepStack service, but I don’t see that it is able to start and stop it.

I am running BI version 5.5.4.4 and whatever the latest Deepstack version was available for download on 1/8/22.

At a command prompt enter deepstack, if you are on the current version you should get the below

In my version, typing “deepstack” in the command prompt starts the DeepStack UI.

RESOLVED!!!
Your question about what DeepStack version I was running and how it interacted with the command prompt got me to investigating the install files.

As it turns out, I downloaded the wrong version of DeepStack. There is a version from another download link that provides the UI I was showing before. I uninstalled it, reinstalled the version from the deepstack.cc site, rebooted, and it immediately began working.

Thank you again for all the help. I really appreciate it!
